About Kristen
Kristen Mulrooney is a humorist and satirist based in a small town near Boston. She is the winner of the 2022 Erma Bombeck Humorist-in-Residence program. Her writing has been featured in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, House Beautiful, and many web outlets.
She is a contributor and editor of The Belladonna, a satire and humor site by women and non-binary writers, for everyone. She has studied satire and humor writing with The Second City.
Her words and wisdom on the pitfalls of motherhood appear in her McSweeney’s column “Letters to Mom”. She is the co-author of the best-selling Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook. Her newest humor book Barbie IRL is available October 22nd, with more to come, always more to come.
